As it does for the hundreds of thousands already reading and praying with MAGNIFICAT, this unique App will accompany your spiritual journey and enrich your daily prayer life.

Now 2 editions in one:
- The American English Edition of MAGNIFICAT (Fr. Sebastian White, OP, Editor-in Chief) contains readings, texts, and the Liturgical calendar appropriate for the USA using the New American Bible.
- The International English Edition of MAGNIFICAT (Léonie Caldecott, Editor-in-Chief) contains readings, texts, and the Liturgical calendar appropriate for English-speaking countries using the Jerusalem Bible (Australia, Ireland, UK, etc.).

We pray that using this one-of-a-kind app will draw you closer to Jesus, his Blessed Mother, and his Church.

Pros and cons of Magnificat English Editions app for iPhone and iPad

Magnificat English Editions app good for

Could you allow us to copy and paste? It would be very useful when there is a prayer or hymn which inspires to be able to copy for personal use .... Thank you
I like the musics a lot. About the login issue it occured but i uninstalled the app and installed it back and it worked fine.
Getting a free July issue at Phoenix Lifeteen Conference this year, I subscribed for the print version last week after realizing the Magnificat really helped me grow in my prayer life and will only continue to do so. But it takes a month for the first one to arrive so this free app really helps tie me over until September! Clearly it states that next months will be 1.99 but thats worth it for people still deciding if they want the yearly print subscription. Worth every penny considering the spiritual value. My favourite is the Meditation of the Day...consoles the afflicted, giving strength for the days battles.
Magnificat isnt commonly used here in Canada. How I wish it was! I enjoy the spiritual reflections and saintly profiles, as well as the cover art every month. I dont really use the morning/evening/night prayer (theres another app that gives you the whole Divine Office). Still, a great resource.
This app (as well as the book itself) is awesome - it has the minimum daily requirement of spiritual food: daily readings, morning and evening prayer, and the best daily reflections Ive seen in a devotional. All that, and art, too! I highly recommend it - it has the potential to form a consistent, and often profound, foundation to your spiritual life. (Just wish they had an iPad version!)
I love the ability to take the readings, the reflections and Saint of the day with me wherever I go. The app works well for all the designed elements. I also like the reminders it gives me. It helps us pray daily and stay connected with Gods word whenever we want. Once you have downloaded the issue for the month, it goes with you all the time, even without a Internet connection. The app is easy to use. Thanks for the great prayer companion!

Some bad moments

I was so excited by this app and have been looking forward to it. I was really disappointed that you need to have a connection at all times to use it. Thats not always an option for an iTouch user. Im further disappointed that this point isnt in the description. I really enjoy the Magnificat publication and was looking forward to having it on my iPod, but Ill be going back to iMissal for my daily readings.
At the very least you must connect once a day to download each section. Cant even view credits or About without being connected to the Internet. Forget it. Both free and paid apps are out there that will provide the same material and more without the constant need for wi-fi or 3G
The load screen and main menu are fine, but that is about as high quality as this app gets. The fonts and font size used for the prayers section are small and painful to read.
Disappointing that it wouldnt let me purchase second month. Readability is not good. iMissal definitely a better choice at this point.
Waste of time. They put every optional memorial in and dont allow you to access the ordinary readings. My church almost never does memorials, so my text never matches the mass. If you gave the option for both you get 5 stars.
I love the app and being able to get access to the readings and commentary and prayers every day, wherever I am. However, since iOS 10, Im getting a message that the app will slow down my iPhone or iPad because the app needs an update. There havent been any updates to the app since 2014. It is overdue.
