The content is great. No question. In fact it’s the only reason I keep coming back to this app despite the consistent, multi-year aggravation from having to deal with a hopelessly mediocre app. If it’s worth it to you, continue on. If all your looking for is the office readings, Mass readings, Mass settings, etc. (that is not the ‘enrichments’ of Magnificat), then a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better app is UNIVERSALIS. Would to God that Magnificat would hire someone from UNIVERSALIS to come over and totally redesign the app. Then it would be a force to be reckoned with!

Updated to the Aug 1 update and I am still having problems accessing the Aug month download. Please fix this problem because Magnificat is a great resource but not if I cant access the material I paid for!

Downloaded the app a few days ago, supposedly, I have until the end of the month to evaluate before I have to purchase. Tried to open it this morning for Mass and it was gone. Had to reinstall it. Cant see anything but a screen instructing me to buy August for $1.99. I expect better from a Christian company.

I love Magnificat and am so disappointed in this app. It very rarely works, I get constant error messages saying its ready for download and after hitting Continue like 30 times it will just go back to the log in. The content is great and has good design but there has to be a way to get the app to work! Whos the patron saint of Smartphones? ;)

App worked ok ... A little convoluted but ok ... Now it wont renew and has locked me out :-(

September issue wont download. It says it is downloading. When I try to restore it, nope, goes to the same purchase screen. It will also say that it is ready, and gives me an ok button that I hit over and over, but no luck. Ugh. Please fix this issue. I miss reading it.

The other reviews regarding the monthly purchase process, if you can call it that, are spot on! The "feedback" you get during the process is always wrong. Youre just left hanging. Ive complained about it for months with no change.

I have an iPhone 6 and Ive been using the app consistently without any issues whatsoever. Great app to get daily readings, prayers, and reflections.

Ive been using the Magnificat app for more than two years...its always been there when I needed it for morning and evening prayer. I have always used a digital or print subscription via the website to give me access so renewal has been simple and delivery has been uninterrupted. Thank you for a wonderful app!

10-20-14 Update: I paid for October, but have yet to be able to access it. I emailed twice, once via the app, and once from the Magnificat web site. Ive received no responses, and 20 days into the month, I have no access and no refund. 9-10-14 Update: Never received an emailed response to either of my emails, but I suddenly have access to my September issue. If you have trouble, I encourage you to email them from the web site. Thats what I did the second time. 9-8-14 I have had the same problems with the login and not being able to use the app, even though Ive purchased the current month. Ive just emailed Magnificat for the second time regarding the issue. Well see how that goes.

Ive used this on my 3rd Gen iPad with both iOS 7 & 8. Its mostly good, but I frequently run into a problem where the canticles dont render when I click on them. Just a blank screen. My workaround is to back out to the Other Features section and then go back. That usually fixes it so it will render (but not always). Its really distracting to my morning prayer.

I have had the Magnificat on my I pad for 3yrs and I like better than the book version. It is much easier to read since you can really enlarge the print and it is 1/2 the price of the printed version. Plus there is no recycling involved.

This app worked wonderfully for me for over six months. Now the last two months I have bought have never appeared. It just keeps saying, your new Magnificat is here, press continue. No matter how many time I hit it, that same message keeps appearing. I really miss it too.

Love this app. Makes daily readings and prayer readily available. The one small issue I had with logging in/out was quickly addressed when I contacted them. I highly recommend this app!

I love the app! For some reason the app is not working at all. It says I need to download the month, but will not let me do that.

I have the book and use the app when traveling. The app used to open and Id have the book and art beautifully laid out. Now, I get no art, no access to the prior month, no page layout. Its awful. I reinstalled the app on the advice of Magnificat office and the whole thing is un usable now. Good thing I have the printed book, because the app is awful. It used to be perfect.

Got the app. Looked really good, handsome design. On first use, exploring, went to the Lectio page - couldnt leave the page. Had to delete the app.
